Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 01:DELHI (Arrival)

Arrive DELHI - The Political and Cultural Capital of Incredible India to be greeted at the airport by our representative arrival team, who will be waiting with pre-printed signboard of your name at the arrival hall immediately after crossing customs area and currency exchange counters. You will be escorted to the car which will take you to the hotel for check inn. Drive to the hotel is approx 35 minutes form airport. Although most of the international flights arrive late in the evening or at night; your activities for the day will depend upon your arrival flight timing. Spend the night at the hotel for sleep and to get over with the Jet Lag. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 02: OLD & NEW DELHI

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel our guide will greet you at the hotel to take you for a full day Guided Sightseeing of Old and New Delhi in Private Dlx Car.

Jama Masjid, Delhi TourStart off by the visit to The Qutab Minar Complex, followed by The Lotus Temple. Drive through Sfadarjung Tomb or Humanyu Tomb, India Gate, Parliament House, President House and Raj Ghat before entering the Old Delhi to visit the Jamia Mazjid, the famous Red Fort and Chandini Chowk, Walk through the narrow alleys of the oldest and busiest bazaars of India or take a Rickshaw Ride. Visit Shish Ganj Gurudwara. In between if time permits you will also be taken to visit the famous Akshardham Temple or Lakshmi Narayan Temple. To wind up the day tour visit some of the beautiful souvenir shops to buy some of the most exquisite memories from India for your loved ones. Finish the tour with the spectacular Sound and Light Show (1 Hr) at Purana Quila delving into Delhi's glorious and tumultuous past, which makes the 5,000 years old history of the city come alive. Drive through the famous Victorian Cannaught Place - One of the most prominent architectural remnants of British Rule.

Return back to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities. You may go for dinner at an excellent Mughal/ Indian/ Continental Restaurant. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 03: DELHI - MANDAWA (250 Kms – 05 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and drive to Mandawa through the colorful villages of Rajasthan. Majestic Shekhawati region or the semi-desert region of Shekhawati, lying in the triangular region between Delhi, Jaipur and Bikaner, is famous for its plethora of painted havelis (mansions), all commendable pieces of the rich artistic traditions of this region. The 'Open Air Gallery of Rajasthan', as it is popularly called 'Shekhawati', the Land of Shekhs, derives its name from Rao Shekha (1433-88). The major towns of interest in the region are Mandawa, Dundlod, Fatehpur, Ramgarh, Nawalgarh and Jhunjhunu, although virtually every town has at least a few surviving havelis

Arrive & check in at the Heritage Havelis called the Castle Mandawa reminding you of the rich cultural heritage of the Shekhavati region. Later in the day visit the 150 to 200 year old painted havelies (big houses) by the natural colors in the streets of the village. You can also watch the daily village life while watching the havelies. You can enjoy the evening at the hotel watching the traditional colorful cultural dance and music show. You can have dinner over bonfire. Overnight stay is at the Hotel.

Day 04: MANDAWA - BIKANER (190 Kms - 04 hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the resort check out and drive to Bikaner. This desert city has a stark beauty which is totally unique. The wide-spread sand dunes, the moonlit glittering beauty and desert agility, the worth-seeing natural sites, the marvelous palaces and temples, wild life sanctuaries and archeological treasures all combine to make this city a place of lasting charm and permanent attraction. The city founded by Rao Biked Ji in 1488 A.D. stands on a slightly raised ground and is circumscribed by a seven km long embattled wall with five gates. The magnificent forts and palaces, created with delicacy in reddish-pink sandstone, bear testimony to its rich historical and architectural legacy. If dreams are cast in stones or if stones can sing they would be like the exteriors and interiors of Bikaner havelies – This is Bikaner for you.
Arrive & check in at the Hotel.

After a change and wash go for half day sightseeing of Bikaner visiting some of the best havelies and forts. Carvings find best expression in Bikaneri havelies. Havelies are marvels in home architecture. Such havelies or residential houses do not exist anywhere in the world. Visit the Junagarh Fort founded in year 1593 by Raja Rai Singh who was general in the army of mighty Mughal emperor Akbar and rest of the Fort was improved by the successors. Afterwards visit some of the Golden Era Palaces which have been now converted into Heritage Hotels - the Lalgarh Palace, Gajner Palace and some of the beautiful Havelies like Rampuria Group of Havelies, Rikhji bagri ki Haveli and Haveli of Bhairondan Kothari. Later go on to visit the Asia’s largest Camel Breeding Research Farm and local busy markets. Return back to the hotel or you may go for shopping activities on the colorful street markets of Bikaner. Overnight stay is at Hotel.

Day 05: BIKANER - Deshnok – KHIMSAR (155 Kms – 3.5 Hrs)

Bikaner Tour, Junagarh FortAfter breakfast in the morning at the hotel drive to KHIMSAR. Enroute visit one of the famous 600 year’s old Deshnok Rat Temples popularly known as Karni Mata Mandir. The temple has fascinating huge silver gates and marble carvings that were donated by Maharaja Ganga Singhji. The most attractive feature of temple are the rodents (rats) who scamper freely within the premises and if one touches your feet it is considered auspicious. They are regarded sacred and devotees buy Prasad (feeding) to offer to them.

Continue your drive to Khimsar. Khimsar was once a small kingdom and the battle scarred walls of the fort bear testimony to the historical significance of the place. Khimsar is renowned for the 16 th century Khimsar Fort that is situated on the edge of the great Thar Desert. Set in the midst of sand dunes, this amazing fort stands as securely as it did over many centuries of battle and strife. 21 generations later, a part of this fort is still residence to the Karamsot Rathor direct lineage while the rest has been opened out to royal Rajput hospitality, personally overseen by the family.

Arrive and check into the Grand Heritage hotel – Khimsar Fort. Rest of the day is free to enjoy your stay and experience this princely heritage hospitality. Optionally you can take a Desert Jeep Safari into the Sand Dunes – part of Thar Desert and visit some of the most colorful villages of the Rajasthan. Meet villagers, Bishnoi Community and visit the Khimsar Sand Dunes Village. Return back to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.

Day 06: KHIMSAR – JODHPUR (90 Kms – 1.5 hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and drive to JODHPUR often called as the Sun City of India for its consistently bright, sunny climate is famous for its magnificent forts and palaces, Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan, founded by Rao Jodha in 1459 AD after shifting his capital from Mandore to Jodhpur by the advice of a holy man. The city dominated by the massive Mehrangarh fort on a rocky hill. There are about 100 towers in the city, most of which are surrounded by defensive battlements. Set at the edge of the Thar Desert, the imperial city of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the stark desert landscapes meet a riot of palaces, forts and temples, all enclosed within imposing city walls. Six enormous gates provide entry to the city centre: Nagauri, Merati, Sojati, Jalori and Siwanchi gates, plus Chand Pole. The city is encompassed by a high wall -10 km long with 8 gates and innumerable bastions.

Arrive and check into the hotel. Later in the day go for guided sightseeing of Jodhpur. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort 125 meters above plains - The walls of the fort are enormous—up to 36m high and 21m wide. Admire the breathtaking view of the city from the ramparts, saving some time to check out the fort museum, which houses an exquisite collection of palanquins, howdahs, royal cradles, miniatures, musical instruments, costumes and furniture. Some of the spectacular palaces of Mehrangarh to be seen are Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Janaki Mahal, Phool Mahal, Rang Mahal, Darbar takhat. Jaswant -Thada – the traditional cremation ground for the royalties of Jodhpur. This is a royal cenotaph made up of white marble. It was built to commemorate Maharaja Jaswant Singh. Some rare portraits of the former rulers of Jodhpur are also displayed here. Umaid Bhawan palace – now one of the most luxurious heritage hotels in India and Sardar Market Clock Tower - Tiny shops line both sides of the narrow lanes in these markets. One can find textiles, silver, handicrafts, aromatic spices, vegetables and colorful Indian sweets in these shops.
Evening is for shopping and leisure activities. Later in the day return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 07: JODHPUR – Ranakpur - UDAIPUR (290 Kms – 06 hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and drive to UDAIPUR. Enroute visit 15th century beautiful Ranakpur Jain Temple built in pure white marble with 80 dooms supported by 1444 different carved pillars. Ranakpur is one of the important destinations of any Rajasthan tour.
Continue drive to UDAIPUR – articulated as the most romantic cities of Rajasthan. Udaipur, once known as Mewar, is the land that produced a galaxy of patriots and heroes in quick succession, people who etched the name of Rajasthan in every corner of the world. It remained untouched from Mughal religious and aesthetics influences and remained so till the coming of the Europeans. The Lake City is also Popularly known as the Venice of the East, Udaipur is famous worldwide for its plethora of breathtaking lakes and Raj-era palaces. Most famous of these, and certainly the most photographed, is the Lake Palace, an island-palace where the white marble buildings (now a hotel) entirely cover a small island in Pichola Lake. Originally known as the Jag Niwas, the palace took three years to build and was inaugurated in 1746. The city’s lakes -Pichola Lake, Fateh Sagar, Udai Sagar and Swaroop Sagar are considered among the most beautiful in Rajasthan at an altitude of 577 MSL surrounded by the Aravalli Hills. Udaipur was founded by Maharana Udai Singh in 1559 AD, (Maha means great & Rana means warrior, so Maharana means a great warrior).
Enroute driving to Udaipur; visit some of the colorful villages of Rajasthan. Arrive and check into the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities in and around the hotel in this beautiful city of lakes. Overnight stay is at the hotel.

Day 08: UDAIPUR
City Palace Udaipur Tour
After breakfast in the morning at the hotel go for guided sightseeing day tour of Udaipur visiting the beautiful City Palace, Jagdish Temple built in 1651 AD, Fatehsagar Lake, and Sahalion Ki Bari (the Garden of Maidens), Crystal Gallery, Partap Smarak: A memorial to the legendary warrior Rana Pratap etc. In the later part of the day enjoy Boat Ride in Lake Pichola to visit Jagmandir Island. Later in the evening enjoy exciting cultural folk dances of Rajasthan at Meera Kala Mandir. Optionally if interested you may also visit the classic Vintage Car Collection Museum OR the lake Palace situated amidst the lake –converted to one of the most beautiful and luxurious hotels of India. Return to Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 09: UDAIPUR - PUSHKAR (250 Kms – 5.5 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel you have spare time for leisure activities. Later check out of the hotel and drive to AJMER. From Ajmer the 14 kms onward drive through the Snake Mountains will reach you to Pushkar. Pushkar is one of the places with highly prestigious sites for both Hindu and Muslim Religions in the world. While Pushkar is known for the only temple in the world of Lord Brahma- the god of creation, Ajmer is globally known for the Mazaar of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty. People come to pray to the lords for the fulfillment of their desires, it is said whoever visit these places in their lifetimes their desires gets fulfilled soon. It is also known as Tirth Raj- the Raj (king) of pilgrim center. No pilgrimages of Hindu or Muslims are considered to be complete until the pilgrim bathes in the sacred waters of Pushkar Lake or he presents a holy sheet at the Dargaah (Muslim shrine). Indeed Pushkar is so sacred that no eggs, meat or alcohols are allowed within the city.
Arrive and check into the hotel / dessert resort. Enjoy the festivity of Pushkar, cattle exchange bazaar ground; enjoy the traditional Rajasthani Folk Music, Dance, Puppet shows. Later take CAMEL RIDE on the nearby sand dunes. Pushkar also hold biggest annual Camel & Craft Fair, which is known all over the world. In the evening visit the Brahma Lake, Temple or the Mazaar or carry on with the leisure activities. Pushkar houses the only Lord Brahma (Creator of the Universe) Temple in the world. Overnight stay is at the Hotel / Desert resort.

Day 10: PUSHKAR - JAIPUR (120 Kms -2.5 hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel / desert resort you have time for leisure activities. Later in the day check out and drive to JAIPUR. This historic and first planned city of India was founded by Maharaja Swai Jai Singh in 1727 AD. The king had consulted a number of maps of the world before finally organizing own religious map Shilpa Shastra with the help of a young architect. Maharaja Swai Jai Singh was a builder, astronomer, astrologer, soldier, & philosopher. Presently Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan & is world famous as the Pink City. Wide-avenued Jaipur is the reservoir of Indian customs, traditions, civilization and royal legacy and is one of the most important heritage cities in India. Jaipur is also the home to India’s second most visited site. Arrive and check into the hotel.
Rest of the evening is free for leisure activities in and around the hotel. With Car and Driver at your disposal you may visit some of the world famous colorfully painted in Pink Bazaars of Jaipur. Shopping is an electrifying activity in Jaipur. It is difficult to define in words, the assortment of products, which these markets offer. Without a shopping spree in markets, no trip to Jaipur is complete. It is the perfect place to shop for Handicrafts, antiques, jewelry, gems, pottery, carpets, textiles, metalwork and leather-ware. In the late evening hours you may go to the Chokhi Daani – A Rajasthani Traditional Village Resort to enjoy the folk dance, music and rich hospitality and for leisure activities. You may also enjoy a traditional Rajasthani Food before returning back to the hotel to stay Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 11: JAIPUR

Fist visit the most famous Amber Fort. Enjoy the Elephant Ride from the foothills of the Fort to the Amber Fort top, the elephant ride will give you the experience and take you into the royal past where Maharajas & royal family members were using the services of elephants as royal transport. Visit the Amber Fort. While returning form the Amber Fort stop for the photo shots at the Jal Mahal - The Floating Palace. Later visit the marvelous City Palace - the current generation of the Maharajas (King) still live here. The spectacular Palace is a lively example of the royal Past. Go on to visit the Hawa Mahal (wind palace) where from royal ladies were watching daily processions and daily life. Constructed of red and pink sandstone highlighted with white lime, the five-storied facade is peppered with 953 small windows. The breeze (hawa) that comes through the windows keeps it cool even in hot months, and gives the palace its name. Also visit the Historic Museum to be followed by ancient astrological observatory – The Jantar Mantar and beautiful temple – The Birla Mandir made in pure white marble. Evening is for leisure and shopping activities in some of the exclusive souvenirs boutiques and showrooms to buy some of the most exquisite memories of India. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 12: JAIPUR – Fatehpur Sikri – AGRA (250 Kms – 05 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel you have spare time for leisure activities. Later check out of the hotel and drive to AGRA. Enroute visit one of the most important places of Mughal Era - The Fatehpur Sikri - the abandoned Mughal Kingdom, founded by Akbar in 1569 AD as a ceremonial capital. But unfortunately this magnificent city was abandoned due to scarcity of drinking water and Akbar went back to Agra. Walk the aisles of the Jamia Mazjid mosque, entered by way of the impressive Victory Gate, and lose yourself in the throngs of pilgrims at the tomb of the Sufi saint Salim Chisti, his white marble-encased tomb enclosed within the Jamia mosque's central courtyard. Considered the crowning architectural legacy of Akbar (who also built the Red Fort) and still almost perfectly preserved, today the site is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Continue your drive to Agra so as to arrive later in the day and Check Into the hotel. AGRA is home to one of the 7 Wonders of the World-the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendor of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces are vivid remainders of the ancient Mughal Empire and Capital City of 16th and early 17th centuries. More just a decadent city of graveyards and stones, Agra is a vibrant centre of Culture, Art and Religious philosophies that have enriched mankind and shaped human thought over centuries. Arrive and Check into the hotel.
Later in the day after change, wash and some rest visit the Itmad-ud-Daulah - the Baby Taj. The tomb may not be as mammoth as the Taj but the inlay designs and carvings are no less than Taj if not more. The delicate marble latticework in the passages allows the light to enter the interiors. This tomb was the first complete marble Mughal structure. Evening is for shopping and leisure activities with driver and car at your disposal. Agra is famous for handicrafts products such as Inlay work on Marble, Leather work, Foot-wear, Brass-wear, Carpets, Jewelry, Zari and Embroidery work. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Agra.

Day 13: AGRA (Taj Mahal) – DELHI (230 Kms – 04 Hrs) – GOA (Flight)

First visit one of the wonders of the world, The TAJ MAHAL (monument of love), built by 5th great Mughal Emperor Shahi Jahan in the memory as mausoleum of his beloved queen Anjuman Bano Begum-Mumtaz. After her death in 1627 AD, in her memory emperor started to built Taj Mahal (Taj means Crown & Mahal means Palace). It took 22 years for 22000 labors working day and night to build this archeological wonder. It is the romantic origin of Taj as much as its architectural splendor that has led to its fame worldwide. Actually an integrated complex of many structures The Taj Mahal is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, itself a combination of Islamic, Hindu, Persian and Turkish elements. Built in pure white marble which was transported from Makrana in Rajasthan by the help of animals Taj Mahal is one of the man made wonder’s of the world. The Taj Mahal built on the banks of River Yamuna is a masterpiece of symmetry, seeming to be floating in the air from a distance, and each revealed as an illusion experienced as one enters through the main gate. The verses of Holy Koran as inscribed on it and at the top of gate 22 small domes, signifying the number of years the monument took to built. The Taj Mahal has been built on a Marble Platform that stands one above sandstone. The most elegant dome of the Taj, with diameter of 60 feet’s, rises 80 feet’s, over the building and directly under the dome is the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal. Shah Jahan's tomb has been erected next to her's by his son Aurangzeb. Fantastic Inlay works using semi-precious stones decorate and interiors.

Later visit AGRA FORT on the banks of Yamuna River built by 3 emperors, Akbar & Jahangir in red sand stone & Shahi Jahan in white marble. The Crescent shaped Fort is 2.5 Km long and during Mughal rule 1/3rd of the Fort was occupied by the army. When British ruled India, they repeated same tradition and now traditionally Indian army has occupied the same. Visit some of the beautiful monuments housed in the complex - The Diwan-i-Am (public audience hall), the beautiful Diwan-i-Khas (private audience hall) and the magnificent Moti Mazjid (Pearl Mosque) were built by Shah Jahan.
With Car, driver and guide at your disposal go for shopping activities OR Lunch at local restaurant in Agra. Agra is famous for handicrafts products such as Inlay work on Marble, Leather work, Foot-wear, Brass-wear, Carpets, Jewelry, Zari and Embroidery work.
Return back to the hotel to check out and drive back to Delhi. As soon as you leave the city of Taj stop Enroute to visit Sikandra- The site of Akbar's mausoleum and glorious reminder of the historic Mughal Empire. Sikandra was begun by Akbar and completed by his son Jahangir in 1613 AD. It reflects the fusion of Hindu and Muslim art and architecture which characterized the era. The tomb is situated in the centre of a large garden and four identical red sandstone gates lead to the tomb complex. The building, with three-storey minarets at each corner, is built of red sandstone with white marble polygonal patterns inlaid. Sikandra is named after Sikandra Lodi, the Delhi ruler who was in power from 1488 to 1517.

Drive ahead to continue your final journey back to Delhi so as to arrive later in the day. Depending on your onwards travel plans / schedules you will have time to explore some more of Delhi or some last minute shopping activities before being transferred to the Airport to board your flight for onwards destination OR fly back to your country with everlasting memories of magnificent glimpses of Incredible India & Rajasthan.
