Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 01:DELHI (Arrival)

delhi tourArrive DELHI - The Political and Cultural Capital of Incredible India to be greeted at the airport by our representative arrival team, who will be waiting with pre-printed signboard of your name at the arrival hall immediately after crossing customs area and currency exchange counters. You will be escorted to the car which will take you to the hotel for check inn. Drive to the hotel is approx 35 minutes form airport. Although most of the international flights arrive late in the evening or at night; your activities for the day will depend upon your arrival flight timing. Spend the night at the hotel for sleep and to get over with the Jet Lag. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 02: OLD & NEW DELHI

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel our guide will greet you at the hotel to take you for a full day Guided Sightseeing of Old and New Delhi in Private Dlx Car.

Start off by the visit to The Qutab Minar Complex, followed by The Lotus Temple. Drive through Sfadarjung Tomb or Humanyu Tomb, India Gate, Parliament House, President House and Raj Ghat before entering the Old Delhi to visit the Jamia Mazjid, the famous Red Fort and Chandini Chowk, Walk through the narrow alleys of the oldest and busiest bazaars of India or take a Rickshaw Ride. Visit Shish Ganj Gurudwara. In between if time permits you will also be taken to visit the famous Akshardham Temple or Lakshmi Narayan Temple. To wind up the day tour visit some of the beautiful souvenir shops to buy some of the most exquisite memories from India for your loved ones. Finish the tour with the spectacular Sound and Light Show (1 Hr) at Purana Quila delving into Delhi's glorious and tumultuous past, which makes the 5,000 years old history of the city come alive. Drive through the famous Victorian Cannaught Place - One of the most prominent architectural remnants of British Rule.

Return back to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities. You may go for dinner at an excellent Mughal/ Indian/ Continental Restaurant. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 03: DELHI - JAIPUR (270 Kms -5.5 hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel you have time for leisure activities. Later in the day check out and drive to JAIPUR. This historic and first planned city of India was founded by Maharaja Swai Jai Singh in 1727 AD. The king had consulted a number of maps of the world before finally organizing own religious map Shilpa Shastra with the help of a young architect. Maharaja Swai Jai Singh was a builder, astronomer, astrologer, soldier, & philosopher. Presently Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan & is world famous as the Pink City. Wide-avenued Jaipur is the reservoir of Indian customs, traditions, civilization and royal legacy and is one of the most important heritage cities in India. Jaipur is also the home to India’s second most visited site. Arrive and check into the hotel.

Rest of the evening is free for leisure activities in and around the hotel. With Car and Driver at your disposal you may visit some of the world famous colorfully painted in Pink Bazaars of Jaipur. Shopping is an electrifying activity in Jaipur. It is difficult to define in words, the assortment of products, which these markets offer. Without a shopping spree in markets, no trip to Jaipur is complete. It is the perfect place to shop for Handicrafts, antiques, jewelry, gems, pottery, carpets, textiles, metalwork and leather-ware. In the late evening hours you may go to the Chokhi Daani – A Rajasthani Traditional Village Resort to enjoy the folk dance, music and rich hospitality and for leisure activities. You may also enjoy a traditional Rajasthani Food before returning back to the hotel to stay Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 04: JAIPUR

jaipur tourAfter breakfast in the morning at the hotel our guide will greet you at the hotel lobby to take you for full day sightseeing of Jaipur.

Fist visit the most famous Amber Fort. Enjoy the Elephant Ride from the foothills of the Fort to the Amber Fort top, the elephant ride will give you the experience and take you into the royal past where Maharajas & royal family members were using the services of elephants as royal transport. Visit the Amber Fort. While returning form the Amber Fort stop for the photo shots at the Jal Mahal - The Floating Palace. Later visit the marvelous City Palace - the current generation of the Maharajas (King) still live here. The spectacular Palace is a lively example of the royal Past.

Go on to visit the Hawa Mahal (wind palace) where from royal ladies were watching daily processions and daily life. Constructed of red and pink sandstone highlighted with white lime, the five-storied facade is peppered with 953 small windows. The breeze (hawa) that comes through the windows keeps it cool even in hot months, and gives the palace its name.

Also visit the Historic Museum to be followed by ancient astrological observatory – The Jantar Mantar and beautiful temple – The Birla Mandir made in pure white marble. Evening is for leisure and shopping activities in some of the exclusive souvenirs boutiques and showrooms to buy some of the most exquisite memories of India. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 05: JAIPUR – Fatehpur Sikri – AGRA (250 Kms – 05 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel you have spare time for leisure activities. Later check out of the hotel and drive to AGRA. Enroute visit one of the most important places of Mughal Era - The Fatehpur Sikri - the abandoned Mughal Kingdom, founded by Akbar in 1569 AD as a ceremonial capital. But unfortunately this magnificent city was abandoned due to scarcity of drinking water and Akbar went back to Agra. Walk the aisles of the Jamia Mazjid mosque, entered by way of the impressive Victory Gate, and lose yourself in the throngs of pilgrims at the tomb of the Sufi saint Salim Chisti, his white marble-encased tomb enclosed within the Jamia mosque's central courtyard. Considered the crowning architectural legacy of Akbar (who also built the Red Fort) and still almost perfectly preserved, today the site is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Continue your drive to Agra so as to arrive later in the day and Check Into the hotel. AGRA is home to one of the 7 Wonders of the World-the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendor of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces are vivid remainders of the ancient Mughal Empire and Capital City of 16th and early 17th centuries. More just a decadent city of graveyards and stones, Agra is a vibrant centre of Culture, Art and Religious philosophies that have enriched mankind and shaped human thought over centuries.

Later in the day after change, wash and some rest visit the Itmad-ud-Daulah - the Baby Taj. The tomb may not be as mammoth as the Taj but the inlay designs and carvings are no less than Taj if not more. The delicate marble latticework in the passages allows the light to enter the interiors. This tomb was the first complete marble Mughal structure. Evening is for shopping and leisure activities with driver and car at your disposal. Agra is famous for handicrafts products such as Inlay work on Marble, Leather work, Foot-wear, Brass-wear, Carpets, Jewelry, Zari and Embroidery work. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Agra.

Day 06: AGRA (Taj Mahal) – DELHI (230 Kms – 04 Hrs) – CHENNAI (Flight)

After breakfast in the morning our guide will greet you at the hotel to take you for sightseeing of AGRA. First visit one of the wonders of the world, The TAJ MAHAL (monument of love), built by 5th great Mughal Emperor Shahi Jahan in the memory as mausoleum of his beloved queen Anjuman Bano Begum-Mumtaz. After her death in 1627 AD, in her memory emperor started to built Taj Mahal (Taj means Crown & Mahal means Palace). It took 22 years for 22000 labors working day and night to build this archeological wonder. It is the romantic origin of Taj as much as its architectural splendor that has led to its fame worldwide. Actually an integrated complex of many structures The Taj Mahal is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, itself a combination of Islamic, Hindu, Persian and Turkish elements. Built in pure white marble which was transported from Makrana in Rajasthan by the help of animals Taj Mahal is one of the man made wonder’s of the world. The Taj Mahal built on the banks of River Yamuna is a masterpiece of symmetry, seeming to be floating in the air from a distance, and each revealed as an illusion experienced as one enters through the main gate. The verses of Holy Koran as inscribed on it and at the top of gate 22 small domes, signifying the number of years the monument took to built. The Taj Mahal has been built on a Marble Platform that stands one above sandstone. The most elegant dome of the Taj, with diameter of 60 feet’s, rises 80 feet’s, over the building and directly under the dome is the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal. Shah Jahan's tomb has been erected next to her's by his son Aurangzeb. Fantastic Inlay works using semi-precious stones decorate and interiors.

Later visit AGRA FORT on the banks of Yamuna River built by 3 emperors, Akbar & Jahangir in red sand stone & Shahi Jahan in white marble. The Crescent shaped Fort is 2.5 Km long and during Mughal rule 1/3rd of the Fort was occupied by the army. When British ruled India, they repeated same tradition and now traditionally Indian army has occupied the same. Visit some of the beautiful monuments housed in the complex - The Diwan-i-Am (public audience hall), the beautiful Diwan-i-Khas (private audience hall) and the magnificent Moti Mazjid (Pearl Mosque) were built by Shah Jahan.

With Car, driver and guide at your disposal go for shopping activities OR Lunch at local restaurant in Agra. Agra is famous for handicrafts products such as Inlay work on Marble, Leather work, Foot-wear, Brass-wear, Carpets, Jewelry, Zari and Embroidery work.

Return back to the hotel to check out and drive back to Delhi so as to arrive later in the day. Straight away transfer to the airport to board your flight to CHENNAI - The cultural capital of South India. On arrival at the Airport in Chennai, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to Hotel. Rest of the evening is for leisure activities. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Cochin

Day 07: CHENNAI – Mahabalipuram – PONDICHERRY (170 Kms – 04 Hrs)

Enroute visit Mahabalipuram - The temple city, which is also known as Mamallapuram is an ancient city that was once the capital of the Pallava rulers is famous for its spectacular beach temples that are truly a work of amazing sculptural craftsmanship. Visit the Beach and Shore Temples which is the UNESCO World Heritage site, Varaha caves, Arjuna’s Penance, Artisans Village.

Continue picturesque drive to Pondichery. You will get to see the scenery typical of the Deccan plateau; striking red soil and deep green vegetation, consisting mainly of cashew, palm and neem, forming a stunning landscape. Pondichery is a surprise town in India formerly a French colony which has settled in the early part of the 18th century and the French past is still preserved in an unspoiled manner. With a coast line of 32 kms, well-planned French Boulevard town with quiet promenades, palm-fringed beaches, resorts, backwaters, water sports centre, fishing villages, harbour, the pier, the famous Aurobindo Ashram, the international city of Auroville, world-renowned Yoga centers and other attractions, Pondichery is the ideal place to spend your holidays with your family.
Arrive and check into the hotel. Later in the day after change, wash and some rest go for sightseeing of the city visiting the famous Aurobindo Ashram, beautiful Churches, Auroville, Museum and the Botanical Garden etc. Evening is for leisure activities at the cleanest and most unpolluted beaches of India in Pondichery. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 08: PONDICHERRY – THANJAVYUR / Tanjore (175 Kms – 03 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning you have ample time for leisure activities in beautiful Pondichery. Later check out of the hotel and proceed to THANJAVYUR better known as TANJORE - a little town placed among the lush rice fields of the Cauvery delta, which is why it is called 'The Rice Bowl of India'. Thanjavur is especially famous for its breathtaking temples; more than 70 of them, The Palace, The world recognized Paintings & the art gallery. Arrive and check into the hotel. Later in the day after change, wash and some rest go for sightseeing of Tanjore visiting the spectacular Brihadeeswara Temple, capped by a monolithic cupola made of a single granite rock weighing 80 tonnes. The temple itself is decorated with carved panels depicting mythological events. Later visit the Saraswathi Mahal Library, the Art Gallery with its large collection of chola bronzes, Thanjavur Palace which houses few of the most magnificent galleries and the Royal Museum. Evening is for shopping and leisure activities. Overnight stay is at the hotel.

Day 09: THANJAVYUR – Trichi - CHETTINAD (150 Kms – 04 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and proceed to CHETTINAD. Enroute visit the historical city of Tiruchirappalli, popularly known as Trichy situated on the banks of the Kaveri River. The city is known for its temple architecture. Visit the famous Rock Fort located on the river bank perched on a massive rocky outcrop at an altitude of 83 m above sea level. The Thayumanaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva (the destroyer in the Hindu trinity), is situated halfway to the top. It has a 100-pillar hall and a Vimana covered with gold. On the southern face of the rock there are several beautifully carved rock-cut cave temples of the Pallava period.

Continue your drive to CHETTINAD - the home of the Nattukottai Chettiars called the Nagarathars who were and are still today, a prosperous banking and business community. This entire area is a major tourist spot with its temples, old palatial buildings, architecture, woodcraft, textiles and delicious cuisine. Vivid history and culture of Chettinad have not yet discovered by the world. Chettinad is a rural area certain to surprise even the most discerning traveler.

Arrive and check into the magnanimous and beautiful mansion called Chettinadu Mansion - 100 year old architectural marvel is situated in Chettinadu, one of the Hidden Treasures of south India & Tamilnadu. It's 100 rooms and sheer size of the marriage hall, tall pillars, beautiful balconies, and hidden lofts the size of a large room in the false ceilings are features typical of a by gone era of gracious living. Later in the day explore Karaikudi with its fabulous mansions, once the homes of the wealthy merchant families known as the Chettiars. One specialty of these houses is the woodcarving. We will meet some of the families who have remained in this area. Karaikudi offers extensive antique shopping, a weekly shandy (village market), a number of temples, visits to craft men working with wood and metal, silversmiths and goldsmiths, attractive textiles and exciting Chettiar cuisine. Overnight stay is at the mansion in Chettinad.

Day 10: CHETTINAD - MADURAI (90 Kms – 02 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the mansion check out and proceed to MADURAI – The temple town of India. It is one of southern India’s oldest cities, and has been a centre of learning and pilgrimage for centuries. Arrive and check into the hotel. Later in the day after change, wash and some rest go for sightseeing of Madurai. Fist visit the famous Meenakshi Temple - one of the biggest temple complexes in India - 46 ft. long by 790 ft broad built in the 17th Century. It is a rectangular twin shrine - the southern temple dedicated to Meenakshi (the consort of Shiva) and the other to Shiva. It is Madurai's greatest landmark - a virtual city within a city. The Hall of 1000 Columns has musical pillars. Visit the Nayyaka - Palace built in 1636 in the Indo - Saracenic style. In the evening you travel on cycle-rickshaws for our evening visit to the Meenakshi Temple to witness the nightly spiritual ceremony (pooja) in which Lord Shiva is carried in a palanquin accompanied by musicians, temple singers and priests to the temple of his consort, Parvati, to spend the night. He is brought back to his temple in the morning. Witness one of the most spectacular temple ceremonies you would have ever seen. Other important attractions include Thirumalai Naicker Palace, Koodal Azhagar Temple and the Gandhi Museum. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11: MADURAI – THEKKADY / Periyar (160 Kms – 3.5 Hrs)

periyarAfter breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and drive to God’s Own Country – Kerala – THEKKADY. The river Periyar is the longest river in Kerala. This is the only perennial river in South India with clean water. The river occupies an important place in the history of Kerala.

Getting to Periyar is as sublime as the destination itself. A scenic journey past mist capped mountains, spice plantations and open grasslands lined with spectacular water falls & delightful trekking trails form the access to your hide way here. The 3- 4 hours driver takes you through the most picturesque route covered with flora and fauna typical to Kerala to reach Thekkady, a quaint hamlet next to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.

After an early breakfast, check out from the Hotel & proceed to the wildlife sanctuary at Periyar /Thekkady and check in at the Hotel/Resort. Go on an evening game viewing cruise on the Periyar Lake. Here you will be able to see a large variety of wildlife, which include elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar etc, and quite a lot of unique birds can also be spotted. Later, come back to the hotel. Evening is free at Spice Markets or Spice plantation visit OR to relax & enjoy your overnight stay at the resort.

Day 12: THEKKADY / Periyar

Tiger! Isn't the word exciting & horrifying too! Today you might have an opportunity to meet the beast. Come! Let's pierce into the Den & go to Periyar Forest Reserve. Trekking with a local guide familiarizes you to the rare birds, trees & flowers that are come across here. You can even set upon a walk through the plantations filled with the heady fragrance of fresh spice. A boat safari on the Periyar Lake extends a lifetime's chance to spot exotic wildlife in its natural habitat. Like the eccentric bathing habits of the wild elephants that come down to the lake. Overnight stay is at Resort in the Periyar Sanctuary.

You have an OPTION for a Rainforest Safari with spending a night amidst the Elephant Sanctuary and Adventure camping.

OPTION - Early in the morning you will be picked up from the hotel and taken by road to Gavi, near the Periyar Tiger Reserve Gavi is contiguous to the Periyar Tiger Reserve and Goodrickal Reserve. This place is located in the middle of the evergreen forest and is accessible only along a safari road. Chances of wildlife encounter are bright and include elephants, gaur, Lion Tailed Macaques and sambar, apart from wild dogs and the occasional tiger. This place is also a veritable treasure trove of birds (over 250 species). On arrival at Gavi, hot tea and snacks are served. After briefing and lunch, cross the Gavi Lake by row boat and trek to Meenar camp. The guests will be accompanied by local guides and porters. The trek is likely to take about 4-5 hours. The guides on this trek will be experienced local guides who occasionally work in the cardamom plantations nearby. In order to ensure safety during trekking, a look-out party as well as an experienced ‘elephant chaser’ (with a very effective hand-held device, locally known as the patanki, will accompany the team, apart from porters. Arrive at Meenar camp by nightfall. Pitch tents and camp for the night. Camp fire and dinner. Next day after breakfast at the camp. Jungle trek commences towards Chenthamara Kokka. After Lunch and some rest go to the sunset point for wildlife viewing. Visit the Sabari Mala temple deep in the valley. Camp fire in the evening at Chentahmara Kokka Camp. Overnight stay is in the camps.

Day 13: THEKKADY – KUMARAKOM (120 Kms – 03 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the resort check out and drive down to Kumarakom; view the scenic picturesque landscapes on your way. Reach Kumarakom and Check in at the Hotel/ Resort on the banks of the Vembanad Lake. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure or one can visit the villages, the Bird Sanctuary, the Country Boat Cruise, or go for an Ayurvedic Massage. The backwaters of Kerala are a unique product of Kerala and are found nowhere else in the world. Backwaters are a network of lakes, canals and estuaries and deltas of forty-four rivers that drain into the Arabian Sea. Spend the evening at leisure and stay overnight at the Resort

Day 14: HOUSEBOAT on Backwaters (Overnight on Luxury Floating Villa)

Day 15: HOUSEBOAT - ALLEPPEY (1 Hr)

house boatEnjoy the morning sunrise form the Houseboat with Tea / Coffee served on the deck. After breakfast disembark from the houseboat and proceed to Alappuzha or ALLEPPEY. Mirror still Lagoons, Picture-book Lakesides, Palm fringed Canals, Shores bustling with day-to-day countryside daily life. Welcome to Alleppey the main attraction for the Backwaters of Kerala, Welcome to the peace and Tranquility. Famous as the Venice of India Alleppey attracts huge number of tourists across the world for its Backwaters, Canals, Boat Races, Houseboats, beaches, Coir Industry etc.

Arrive and check into Backwater resort. Rest of the day is free to explore the beauty of Alleppey and around or indulge into the famous Kerala Ayurveda Massages and Spa therapy. Overnight stay is at the backwater resort.

Day 16: ALLEPPEY - COCHIN (65 Kms – 1.5 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the resort you have ample time for leisure activities. Later check out and proceed for COCHIN - The capital Connecting point of the God’s Own Country – Kerala. Arrive and check into the hotel. Later in the day after change, wash and some rest go for sightseeing of COCHIN. Go across the Cochin Harbor, which takes you to the gateway of the Arabian Sea. On arrival at Fort Cochin, proceed on a sight seeing tour, which includes a visit to the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing nets, etc. Rest of the evening is for leisure & shopping activities. Day 17: COCHIN – KOZHIKODE (Calicut) (200 Kms – 4.5 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and proceed to Kozhikode better known as CALICUT located in the north of Kerala in the Malabar region. It is a beautiful tourist destination with lush green countrysides, serene beaches; historic sites, wildlife sanctuaries, rivers, hills, a unique culture and a warm friendly ambience. Arrive and check into the resort. The city had well established trade links with Chinese, Arabs and the Europeans and dating backing to good olden times, 8th century. It was here that Vasco De Gama landed in the year 1498, leading to the discovery of trade route to India. A port city located amidst the lush green Spice Plantations, Kozhikode takes you on a momentous journey through beautiful backwaters, picturesque beaches and ancient palaces. Arrive and check into the beach / backwater resort. Later in the day go for sightseeing of the town visiting Calicut Beach, Temples, museum & art gallery, Spice plantations, Lighthouse etc. Enjoy boating on the river. Day 18: KHOZIKODE – VYTHIRI / Wyanad (70 Kms – 1.5 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and proceed to Wyanad / VYTHIRI. Check into the Vythiri Resort. Day 19: VYTHIRI - COORG (140 Kms – 03 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the resort check out and proceed to yet another beautiful small town in the nearby state of Karnataka called COORG known as KODAGU – this is the Scotland of India located amidst dense forests on the steep hills. The drive is worth it as one could enjoy miles of greenery, thick forests, acres and acres of coffee estates and shimmering streams. Misty hills, lush forest, acres and acres of tea and coffee plantation, orange groves, undulating streets and breathtaking views and its setting amidst verdant valleys, imposing mountains and teak wood forests etc makes it and exception location for outdoor activities and a tourists paradise. This unspoilt “country of million hills” is also the coffee bowl of India. Kodavas or people from Coorg are believed to be the descendants of the soldiers of Alexander the Great who invaded India in 327 B.C. The soldiers, married into the local population and migrated along the coast. Even today India salutes the people who generally opt for army and military services in securing the borders of India. Arrive and check into the hotel / resort. For the rest of the day enjoy outdoor activities including rafting, rock climbing, angling, trekking, golf etc or local sightseeing including Madikeri Fort, Raja’s Seat, visit to natural waterfalls like Abbey, Iruppu or visit the nearby Nagerhole National Park for wildlife viewing. Day 20: COORG - MYSORE (120 Kms – 03 Hrs)

Later check out and proceed to MYSORE - a magnificent Royal city and site of the Goddess Chamundeswari Temple and the Sacred Chamundi Hill with its Palaces built by Tippu Sultan. This is a city with rich heritage, magnificent palaces, beautifully laid-out gardens, imposing buildings, broad shady avenues and sacred temples. There's an old world charm about the city that reaches out and leaves no one untouched. The Mysore Dussehra is globally famous as a festival. Thousands of visitors from all parts of the world gather to witness this great festival celebrated in a unique style.
Arrive and check into the hotel. Later in the day go for guided tour of the city visiting Tipu Sultan's Palace, one of the most remarkable Islamic Buildings of the city, now a museum, ISKCON Temple, Lal Bagh Garden, Brindavan Gardens and the Mysore Maharaja's Palace, which is one of the biggest in India. If time permits go for an excursion to Chamudi Hill to visit Sri Chamundeswari Temple, huge in structure with a seven story Gopuram 40 meters high. On the way up to the hill we see the famous Nandi (Shiva`s Bull) carved out of solid rock and, at five meters high, perhaps the largest OR for the excursion to Somnathpur to see the Hoysala Temple. Evening is for leisure and shopping activities. Mysore is a city of palaces and gardens and is famous for its silk, sandalwood and jasmine.
Return back to the hotel for overnight stay in Mysore.

Day 21: MYSORE - HASSAN (115 Kms – 03Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and drive to Hassan. En route, visit Shravanabelagola - the legendary pilgrim centre and shrine of the Jains since early times. Also visit Belur and Halebid temple complexes (12th-14th century). Built by the Hoysala kings, the temples at Belur and Halebid are the cream of what remains of one of the most artistically exuberant periods of Hindu Cultural development. The wealth of sculptural details found on the exterior and interior of these temples at Halebid & Belur makes them the most outstanding example of Hoysala sculptural art.

Continue your drive to Hassan so as to arrive and check into the hotel / resort. This is an ideal base to explore the historical places like Belur, Haleibid and Shravanbelagola. Rest of the day is for leisure activities. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Hassan.

Day 22: HASSAN - HOSPET (310 Kms – 05 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and drive to HOSPET. The town famous for Vijanagar Ruins of Hampi. En route visit the following: Chitradurga - lies at the foot of a group of granite hills, approx 2 hrs drive. The fort here was built in the 17th century by the Nayakas. This was subsequently destroyed by Haider Ali who replaced the mud fort with one built of stone, and Tipu Sultan built a palace, mosque and granaries. Tumkur - is an important market town and 8 km north is th small Dravidian style Kaidala Keshava temple. It contains some striking stone images. Hiriyur - Built on the bank of the river Vedavati, the Teru-Malleshwara Temple has a 14m - high lamp pillar which holds enough oil for the lamp to be relict only once a year.

Continue your drive to Hospet so as to arrive later in the day and check into the hotel. Evening is free for leisure activities. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Hospet.

Day 23: HOSPET / HAMPI (Full day Excursion)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel go for full day excursion of HAMPI. " If dreams were made out of stone, it would be Hampi" – the Capital seat of Vijayanagara empire in 1336 A.D, with the help of his devotee disciples Hakka and Bukka was established by Saint Vidyaranya. It was once the largest empire in post-mogul India, covering several states. The destruction of Vijayanagar by marauding Moghul invaders was sudden, shocking and absolute. They reduced the city to ruins amid scenes of savage massacre and horrors beggaring description. Today a UNESCO World Heritage site the ruins of Hampi of the 14th Century lies scattered in about 26 sq. km area, amidst giant boulders and vegetation. Protected by the tempestuous river Tungabhadra in the north and rocky granite ridges on the other three sides, the ruins silently narrate the story of grandeur splendor and fabulous wealth. Visit to Hampi reminds of the greatest land in the whole world. Once an extremely wealthy, greater than Rome, the empire held a monopoly of trade in spices and cotton. Today every rock, every path and every monument at Hampi speak the same language- a language of glory and beauty. It houses as many as 500 monuments, each with a story behind it, reflecting a fascinating history reaching the pinnacle of glory and then stumbling to a decline of utter neglect. You will visit The Pampati Swami Temple, the Queen's Bath, the Lotus Mahal, the King's Balance and the musical pillars of the Vittala Temple evoke memories of bygone splendor including other main attractions the temple complex of Lord Virupaksha, Ugra Narasimha, Matanga Hill and the Vittala Temple Complex. Return back to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.

Day 24: HOSPET – Aihole - BADAMI (120 Kms – 04 Hrs)

Enroute visit Aihole – the first Chalukyan Capita city isamous as the "Cradle of Indian Architecture", it has over a hundred temples scattered around the village. It is widely regarded as the birthplace of Indian temple architectural styles and site of the first built temples, distinct from those carved out of solid rock. In an area called Morera Angadigalu, excavations have unearthed a large number of prehistoric sites: temples, pottery pieces, pre-Chalukyan bricks, bases of structures. After sightseeing of Aihole continue drive to Badami - picturesquely situated at the mouth of a ravine between two rocky hills. Badami is famous for its cave temples-all hewn out of sand stone on the rock face of a hill. Arrive and check into the hotel. Later in the day go for sightseeing of Badami Caves. Enter the first cave temple - past Shiva's door keepers - and there he is! The eighteen-armed Nataraja striking 81 dance poses! The largest and most ornamental is the third cave temple dedicated to Vishnu. Overlooking the cave temples is a reservoir dotted with temples dedicated to Vishnu and Shiva. Also a must watch are the Bhutanatha temples that lend their name to the lake beneath the cave temples.

Return back to the hotel later in the day. Evening is for leisure activities. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Badami.

Day 25: BADAMI – GOA (320 Kms – 06 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and proceed to GOA. Tour to Goa and experience the best time of your life. Day 26: GOA

After breakfast at the hotel / beach resort the day is free for your own leisure activities. Day 27: GOA

After breakfast at the hotel / resort in the morning go for a half day sightseeing of North and South Goa visiting different beaches, different ancient churches, Old Goa, Dauna Paula, Panjim City – capital of Goa, free shopping time to buy some souvenirs. In the evening we have for you Fishing village : Fishing villages are part of Goa’s rich cultural heritage. Local Goan fishing village is created on the grounds of the hotel, forming a perfect backdrop for a charming evening in a very rustic atmosphere. Day 28: GOA – DELHI (Flight) – Onwards Travel / FLY BACK

After breakfast in the morning you have spare time for leisure activities in one of the most scenic beaches of India. Later in the day check out of the resort to be transferred to the airport to board your flight back to DELHI. Arrive Delhi later in the day to be greeted by our representative.
